Facts
Joseph Kennedy was a high school football coach at a public school in Washington state. SCOTUS ruled in 2022 his public prayers in the middle of the football field doesn't violate the Establishment Clause.
Issues
Some parents complained that the coach's public prayers compelled their children to participate in the prayers or be viewed as outgroups if they didn't pray along with the coach.
Holding
Lemon v. Kurtzman (1971) is overturned.
