The Thomas Jefferson School of Law, commonly referred to as TJSL, is a law school in San Diego, California. TJSL offers Juris Doctor degrees.

Environment and location

Thomas Jefferson School of Law is located in the Old Town neighborhood of San Diego, California.

Administration

The dean of the law school is Rudolph Hasl; Ceremonially, the Dean of TJSL also holds positions as a professor and as the President of the school.

Faculty

Notable faculty members include William Slomanson, who authored the textbook on California Civil Procedure used widely throughout the state, as this subject was added to the California Bar Exam effective July 2007.

Degree programs

Thomas Jefferson School of Law is a private, independent nonprofit law school, fully approved by the ABA.

Notable Alumnae

A notable alumna is Bonnie Dumanis, the current San Diego County District Attorney. Deborah Jeane Palfrey, who completed a nine-month paralegal course at what is now Thomas Jefferson, founded Pamela Martin & Associates, a Washington, D.C. escort service. Among her clients was Randall L. Tobias, former deputy secretary of state in the Bush Administration[1].
