Introduction
Northwestern California University School of Law is a distance learning institution founded in 1983. It is approved by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education (BPPVE) to issue degrees, however, its courses are currently not accredited by the American Bar Assocation or other accreditation agencies.
Online Law Education
The School originally delivered courses entirely through correspondance. The mode of learning changed in the late 1990s when internet-based learning was introduced as the main medium of teaching. It is one of the earliest schools of its kind in California.
