'''Mitchell Hamline School of Law''' is a private [[law school]] located affiliated with [[Hamline University]] in [[Saint Paul, Minnesota|St. Paul]], [[Minnesota]], offering full- and part-time legal education in pursuit of the [[Juris Doctor]] (J.D.) degree, as well as the [[Master of Laws]] (LL.M.) degree for international lawyers. It is accredited by the [[American Bar Association]]. Hamline University School of Law was founded in [[1972]] as the Midwestern School of Law by a group of legal professionals. It was then absorbed by Hamline University as its own School of Law, making Hamline one of the few smaller universities to support a full law school. Mitchell Hamline School of Law was formed in 2015 by the combination of William Mitchell College of Law and Hamline University School of Law.

The School publishes three [[law review|law journals]]. The ''[[Hamline Law Review]]'' is in the top 25% of the Most Cited Law Reviews[http://lawlib.wlu.edu/LJ/index.aspx]. The ''[[Hamline Journal of Public Law and Policy]]'' provides a forum for discussions relating to public policy decisions of the executive, legislative, and judicial branches at all levels of government. The ''[[Journal of Law and Religion]]'' is also supported by the school; it is an international publication that explores issues of law, religion, and ethics. 

The School of Law is well-recongnized by its Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) program. The program, founded in 1991, offers courses in both domestic and international dispute resolution. It is enhanced by agreements with international institutions that bring international students to Hamline University and send U.S. students overseas. ''[[US News & World Reports]]'' ''[[2007]]'' ranks the program third among its class across the United States, rounded out by [[Pepperdine University]] (McConnell), [[University of Missouri–Columbia]], [[Harvard Law School]], and [[Ohio State University]] (Moritz); the general law school is placed in the fourth tier.

The School of Law fields student-run sports teams under the team name ''[[res ipsa loquitur|Res Ipsa]]'', particularly in [[ice hockey]], where it competes in community leagues, [[intramural]] competition, and inter-law school competition among the Minnesota-based law schools.
