Plaintiff was a film company that intended to make a film for television entitled “The Man in the Wood.” They required a strong American actor, and contracted Robert Reed to rehearse and play in the film to be filmed in England. Due to booking errors, Reed repudiated the contract.
Procedural History
Anglia Television sued for 2,750 pounds for costs incurred before the contract with Reed as well as after the contract. They were awarded the whole 2,750 pounds, to which Reed appeals because only 854 pounds were incurred after the contract.
