University of Toledo College of Law is located in Toledo, Ohio
The University of Toledo College of Law is the law school at the University of Toledo, and is located on the University's 250 acre main campus in a residential suburb in west Toledo.
Admission
For the Fall 2011 entering class, the median GPA was 3.33 and the median LSAT score was 153.[1] In 2010, The University of Toledo College of Law was listed as "Rank Not Published" by US News and World Report. In past years, however, the school has been ranked as high as #85 (2008), #93 (2007) and #94 (2006) by US News. Additionally, the School of Law has been ranked 32nd best value in legal education in the National Jurist.[2]
Curriculum
The University of Toledo College of Law offers full-time and part-time programs.[3] In the full-time program, students take 16 credits in the fall and spring semesters completing the required first-year courses in spring semester. In the part-time program of evening classes, students take 9-10 credits a semester.

Clinical offerings
Public externships
Students can be placed in a supervised setting, or Public Externship, in which they learn practical and professional skills as they explore the role of a practicing lawyer, prosecutor, judge, mediator, or many other positions. The logic is that students will be better able to learn the law by participating rather than just sitting in a classroom.

Legal clinics
In addition, students may apply to be placed in various legal clinics. These clinics are individualized and small group instruction in legal institutions and the lawyering process, as well as practical, hands-on, real life experience in carefully selected legal environments. Through the clinical programs, law students hone their legal skills while providing high-quality legal services to individuals and groups in our community.

Honor societies
The College of Law has a chapter of the Order of the Coif, a national legal honor society, which offers membership to the top ten percent of the graduating class. About half of the nation's law schools have been awarded chapters of the Order of the Coif
Faculty scholarship
The faculty of the College of Law pursues its scholarly interests by publishing casebooks, treatises, university-press monographs and articles in law journals. Areas in which faculty members have achieved national prominence include commercial law, trusts and estates, disabilities law, reconstruction-era constitutional history, originalist constitutional interpretation, state and federal securities regulation, law and religion, legal ethics, private and public sector labor law, intellectual property, minorities and the law, torts, economic and statistical analysis of law, immigration law, conflict of laws, appellate process reform, international law and arbitration, international monetary regulation, military justice and war crimes, clinical legal education, electronic surveillance law, and feminist legal analysis. Faculty members maintain popular blogs on law and religion and sports law.
Members of the College of Law Faculty have served as Deans at the law schools of: Wake Forrest University, Ohio State University, West Virginia, University of Maryland, Tulane University, Loyala University (New Orleans), University of Arizona, University of Baltimore, University of Missouri, John Marshall University, Widener University, St. Thomas (Miami) and the University of Toledo.
While on the faculty of the College of Law, faculty members have served as visiting professors at the law schools at: University of Michigan, Washington and Lee University, University of Iowa, George Washington University, University of Nebraska, Wayne State University, Michigan State University, University of Maryland, University of Baltimore, University of Kansas, Vanderbilt University, University of Missouri, Tulane University, New York University, Case Western Reserve University, St. John's University, and the University of Utah.
